Organizing with style: DIY storage for hair clips on the wall shelf

Do you know this? Hair clips and barrettes are true masters at hiding in every corner or magically disappearing. Especially with small children, countless of these little accessories often accumulate, which are then either impossible to find or impractical to store. But don't worry, I have a nice and simple solution for you!

Today I'm going to show you how you can use a little trick to transform a wall shelf into a practical yet stylish hair clip storage unit. The best thing about it? It looks neat and can be perfectly integrated into your room concept!

Materials you need:

• A small, square wall shelf (you can also build one yourself from wood)

• An elastic band (circumference corresponds to that of the shelf)

• Needle and thread or a sewing machine

• Optional: Decoration for the inside of the shelf (e.g. small figures, plants or picture frames)

It's that simple:

1. Prepare the elastic: Cut the elastic to the right length so that it fits loosely but securely around the wall shelf.

2. Sew together: Sew the ends of the elastic together to create a closed loop.

3. Guide around the shelf: Carefully slip the elastic ring over the wall shelf. Make sure it is tight, but not too tight.

4. Attach the hair clips: Now you can simply clip your hair clips to the rubber band - so you always have them to hand!

5. Decorate: If desired, you can embellish the inside of the shelf with small decorative elements. This makes the storage not only practical, but also a real eye-catcher.

Perfectly organized - even at the changing table!

This storage idea is particularly practical near the changing table. Here you can quickly grab the hair clips and at the same time prevent them from getting lost in the endless expanses of your changing unit.
