simple, beautiful, according to the KISS formula (keep it simple, stupid)

Okay, I have to admit that although I like and love meticulous detail work that requires time, attention and love, I don't always have the time, inclination or materials to do it on a daily basis. In this case, however, there is always the possibility of creating something super simple and yet beautiful, even if you don't have the time, inclination or materials. In this post, I'll tell you about one such simple project.
I believe that not everything in life has to be complicated and can still look pretty, sophisticated or well thought out. For me, this also means that we shouldn't complicate our lives, even if, like me, you are a lover of order, beauty, simplicity and minimalism.
So as not to drag this out unnecessarily and also because I can't remember where the inspiration for these picture frames came from, let's get straight to the point. I had received the picture frames as a set as a gift, but somehow never used them for photos - it wasn't easy to find photos of the right size or photos that I wanted to crop to fit. What's more, the photos that are close to my heart were already hanging on the walls in pretty frames. And so the picture frames remained unused in the drawer. Among the unused materials in the drawer was this patterned paper, which I had bought in a stationery shop one day because it caught my eye. All that was left of the paper were small remnants that no longer sufficed as gift wrapping. Let's just say that the individual pieces had already come together by chance before I thought about making something out of them. I simply cut the paper to the appropriate size for the picture frames, inserted them into the picture frames and draped them next to each other on my desk or a shelf, just as if they were filled with photos, even though they "only" have geometric patterns and colors on them.
You need:
Picture frames of different sizes
patterned paper (geometric patterns, filigree patterns, with shiny embossing)
I believe that geometric patterns, especially in somewhat broken colors, have a special beauty that is due not only to their regularity, but also to the property of geometric figures themselves. I did a bit of reading here and there on the internet and stumbled across the fact that there are even people who claim that shapes emit waves: A vibration emits sound waves, a change in an electric or magnetic field causes an electromagnetic wave and a stone thrown into water creates waves that spread across the surface of the water. Similarly, it is said that a shape spreads a wave in its surroundings, the properties of which vary depending on the shape (a circle, for example, emits different energy than a square). The waves would propagate in the surrounding space, where they encounter other objects or living beings, which they can supposedly influence via the properties communicated in the waves. The more orderly the patterns or shapes are, the more calming the effect they have on us and our surroundings.
So what are you waiting for to send the "shape waves" of your creative work or the remnants of a drawer into the environment? Or are you looking for a gift for someone close to your heart without wanting to spend a fortune on it? Or do you simply want to decorate your home in this simple and time-saving way? Have fun, give me a hug and see you soon!
