simple, minimalist, homemade
Today is a beautiful Sunday in March in the sunny south of Germany. Around 15 degrees and little wind make this the perfect day to take care of your garden. Right now, however, I'm sitting at my desk to tell you in this post how you can make pretty, elegant earrings, do-it-yourself style. They are not only a pretty adornment on the ear, but also on the earring holder in your home. If you have not yet found a decorative solution for storing your earrings or are looking for a new one, you will find a nice idea in the article "Storage for earrings", which you will soon find online.
I'm not going to talk about my passion for beads and DIY stores again because I've already written a lot about it. If you feel like hearing about it, you can read the post "natural DIY wooden earring" or some others I can't remember right now...).
For these pretty black earrings you need:
black faceted glass beads of different sizes
possibly gold beads with ripples
These earrings are even easier to make than the wooden earring from the last post. They are simpler because there is nothing that needs to be handmade or bent, the individual parts are simply put together. All you need to do is thread the black beads (in this case, shiny faceted glass beads) onto the wire in the desired order. Except for the final bead, I have arranged them according to size. In the picture on the left, you can see a combination with a golden bead in between. Find the best combination and order for you, feel free to express your creativity in your own way. There is no right or wrong, only right for you. Besides, the beauty of handmade is the activity itself, the carefree and relaxed time you can spend creating. All of this is much more important than the result itself... and if you don't like the result, you can always start from scratch or create something else.
In my opinion, these types of earrings go perfectly with black clothing, for a concert, a special evening, an elegant outfit. Although they are dark, the facets of the pearls reflect the light in a way that makes them shine and your face glow. In short - try them out!
Do you like my black earrings? This type of pearl reminds me a little of antique chandeliers. As a little girl, I loved playing with cut glass stones because they seemed like precious diamonds to me as they reflected and refracted the light, creating beautiful plays of light. It may seem strange to you, but these earrings with their faceted beads remind me of those moments of magic and wonder in my childhood.
Do you have any treasures or earrings that are linked to positive childhood memories? Would you like to share them with me? If so, or if you just want to share your impression or have a question, what are you waiting for to contact me? I look forward to hearing from you. A hug and see you soon!
