Simple and effective DIY decorations for Easter, mindful and sustainable Easter decorations for your home and as gifts
Easter is just around the corner, and what could be nicer than decorating your home with homemade decorations? In this blog article, I invite you to create a simple and DIY Easter decoration in an egg carton, lovingly decorated with moss and flowers.
I had three egg candles left over / found / received as a gift / somehow got my hands on. I didn't really know what to do with them. So I had the idea of putting them in an egg carton - as is usual for eggs. Here you can see the result.
This simple Easter decoration is not only a creative craft idea, but also a way to practice mindfulness in everyday life... and a lovely gift, an Easter greeting for your loved ones. You can also add a little letter from yourself or, if you like, from the Easter bunny, which is sure to delight your children.
Mindfulness means being present in the present moment and being aware of your thoughts, feelings and actions. In today's hectic world, it can be a challenge to take time to focus on the here and now. However, it is in moments of creativity, such as when making Easter decorations, that we can practice mindfulness in everyday life and thus increase our well-being.
You can easily recreate this Easter decoration idea. You will need the following for this simple Easter decoration in an egg carton:
an old egg carton
Candles in the shape of eggs
eggshells
moss
Small flowers or leaves
Masking tape
2 shashlik skewers or toothpicks
string
Patterned origami paper
The egg candles sit in the eggshell halves in the egg carton. Between them and in the lid of the egg carton, fresh moss from the forest and small flowers decorate the gift. The two bunnies are quickly folded from origami paper and accompany the Easter greeting. You can find instructions from Mrs. Friemel. You can use two skewers to string a thread over them like a festive garland. For the bunting, stick different colored masking tape around the thread and cut the ends into pennant shapes. It will hardly take you 5 minutes to make and yet the effect is great and I am sure that everyone will be delighted with your Easter greeting!

This DIY craft idea with candles in an egg carton is not only a creative way to decorate your home for Easter, but also an opportunity to practice mindfulness in everyday life. Enjoy the process of creativity and mindfulness and share your homemade Easter decorations with others as a loving gift. I would be delighted if you would share this post and leave me a comment.
A hug and see you soon!
