DIY card with cupcake cases

Crafted greetings for every occasion, craft idea with children

A lovingly designed greeting is often worth a thousand words. With this DIY idea, you can easily create a personalized card that not only looks beautiful, but is also fun to make. This craft idea is perfect for children and adults and is ideal for birthdays, celebrations or simply as a heartfelt greeting in between. Ideal for beginners, children and anyone who likes to create with paper, flowers and hand lettering!

Materials you need:

• Clay paper in the color of your choice

• Muffin tins (patterned or plain)

• Small candle (e.g. birthday candle)

• Dried flowers or small decorative elements

• Glue or double-sided adhesive tape

• Hand lettering pens and/or embossing printer (with black ribbon)

• Scissors

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Prepare the card base: Take a piece of construction paper in your desired color and fold it once in half. This creates the basic shape of your card. Make sure that the edges are nice and smooth so that the card looks professional.

2. Stick on the muffin tins: Choose a nice muffin tin and press it slightly flat so that it retains some volume. Place it in the center of the front of the card. This will be the “cake” of your design.

3. Decorate the cupcake tin with a small candle and dried flowers: Place a small birthday candle in (or behind) the cupcake tin and add some dried flowers. If necessary, fix the elements with some glue or a piece of double-sided tape so that they hold well.

4. Hand lettering or embossing: Write a personal message on the card using a nice hand lettering pen or an embossing printer. For example:

   
   

   “Happy birthday!”

   “All the best for your birthday!”

   “For you!”

   “It's great that you exist!”

If you are crafting with children, you can also add your own little works of art or doodles here.
