I don't consider myself an artist - I've never learned watercolor painting, hand lettering or other techniques. My “training” extends to water painting at school. But I am fascinated by colors and decoration and find it incredibly relaxing and satisfying to draw or paint something at the end of the day. As adults, we allow ourselves such a break far too rarely for my taste. Children simply sit down in quiet moments and draw something. Without paying attention to the result, without necessarily having a motive in mind beforehand. Painting is good - try it out a little and just enjoy the activity itself and maybe you'll even get a result that you like, that you want to hang up or give as a gift.
