DIY PROJECTS

handlettering / paper

I have always loved drawing and painting. As a little girl, I drew farms, cats and circus tents. As soon as I could write, I wrote letters to my parents and friends on all possible and impossible occasions. The passion for beautiful things on paper has remained. I still enjoy writing letters because I firmly believe that the process of writing by hand has a deeper quality than a message typed on a keyboard. I am fascinated by the idea that the sender and addressee are both holding the same paper in their fingers. For me, a letter is a materialized piece of energy that I can send to a loved one: I put time, care, love and thought into it and firmly believe that it will reach the recipient. In any case, I love receiving mail - real mail - in my letterbox... the old-fashioned way.

Letters are one thing. Of course, paper can do so much more. Hand lettering is currently enjoying a lot of attention and is all the rage. And rightly so, in my opinion. On the one hand, beautiful writing is fun, has a meditative character and allows you to consciously perceive what you have written. On the other hand, the results can be seen, are a beautiful decoration as a poster on the wall, adorn postcards or simply labels in the household.  With a little practice, you can quickly create beautiful results. I'm happy to help - here are some ideas to get you started. Just give it a try.
