If you read here on the blog, you are certainly a unique loving wonderful and creative person! You love (like me) to make your world, your home and your workplace beautiful... Are you looking for creative "do it yourself" and decoration ideas, new DIY inspiration, unique decoration or upcycling ideas, but maybe you have a lot of commitments and little time or desire to do a lot of research? Are you looking for ideas or inspiration to make everyday life a little bit nicer for yourself and others? Then you're in good company here on my blog for decoration and creativity and you've come to the right place!

 

Here I write about all the things that have been created with great attention to detail at home and in our garden according to my personal design ideas and exude a very special individual minimalist charm.

 

With simple step-by-step instructions, you can get started with your new DIY project right away! Even little things like a flower vase or an earring can bring us joy and make everyday life and the world a little more beautiful. A little splash of color for your everyday life...

 

I have always been interested in and enthusiastic about interior design and furnishing advice. I am also a doctor. For me, the connection is that creating a cozy room atmosphere and our health are both about feeling good.

 

For me as a Black Forest native, nature is the main source of inspiration for my creativity... I love combinations of natural materials, modern elements and flea market treasures or things from my great-grandparents. My creations often involve the reuse of objects, as I try to live in an environmentally conscious way and throw away as few things as possible. For example, I turn cans, jam jars or bottles into pretty vases, decorative candle holders or beautiful lanterns.

 

During my time as a parent, I kept toying with the idea of this blog "FridaMelacavo". At first, I just wanted to record my creations for myself... in a way, I perceive them as a concrete sign of the value of my time and my work. I am happy to offer help and advice to anyone looking for ideas for furnishing their home(corner). I am excited to see where this path will take us together!

 

"melacavo" is a reference to the Italian "me la cavo" - which means something like "I can do it (despite challenges)" / "I can cope" / "I make the best of it", similar to the Beatles song "I get by (with a little help of my friends)". As a little gimmick, it also contains the words "mela" (apple) and "cavo" ("I bring something to light" - for example, gold from a gold mine). In this sense, I want to put a crown on everyday objects, enhance them and make hidden beauty shine.    

 

The exchange and networking with many other people, bloggers, interior design magazines and online stores fascinates me so much that I dream of my blog as a possible starting point for collaborations.
